Common questions
How do I know if my battery is going to fail before it does?
Test the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). A battery rated at 500 CCA that tests at 350 CCA (70%) is getting weak — replace it before it fails. Most professional testers show a health percentage and a clear GOOD/REPLACE result.
Can I test a battery without removing it from the car?
Yes. All testers here work in-vehicle — connect the clamps to the battery terminals without disconnecting the battery. Make sure the car is off and no large loads are running during the test.
What is the difference between CCA and Ah rating?
Ah (ampere-hours) measures storage capacity — how much energy the battery holds. CCA measures starting power — how much current it can deliver in a cold start. For testing battery health, CCA is the more important number.
Do I need a battery tester with a printer?
For home use, no. For a workshop, yes — a printed report given to the customer removes any argument about whether the battery is actually bad. It documents your diagnosis professionally.
